dc.description.abstract	Práce rozebírá téma pleteniny z konstrukčního hlediska, mapuje vývoj pletařství a pletařských technologií v historických souvislostech, představuje způsoby práce s pleteninou u vybraných oděvních designérů v průběhu 20. století, ukazuje nové tendence v pletařském průmyslu a využití pletenin v různých odvětvích. Zabývá se současným stavem pletařské výroby v České republice a možností kooperace oděvního designéra s pletařskou firmou.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The analyses the theme of knitting from a design perspective, conducts a survey of the evolution of knitting and knitting technologies in historical contexts, presents ways of selected fashion designers working with knitted fabric throughout the 20th century, shows new trends in the knitting industry and the use of knitted fabric in different sectors. It deals with the current state of knitting production in the Czech Republic and the possibility of designer cooperating with a knitting company.
